A man wanted in connection with a woman’s killing in Mauldin, South Carolina, is the subject of an active police search, and investigators are asking the public to help find him. Marlon Alexander Pabon-Lopez, 24, is wanted in connection with the October 30 shooting death of 31-year-old Ivonne Lizeth Guerra Gomez.
Police identified Pabon-Lopez as the man they are seeking after Guerra Gomez was found shot inside her home at The Townes at Brookwood on Stonebriar Street. A family member reportedly discovered her body. She had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead.

The killing took place on Friday, October 30. Although investigators have identified the man they want in connection with the case, they have not released a detailed account of what happened before the shooting. A motive has also not been made public.
Authorities say Pabon-Lopez is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 175 pounds. He may be driving a silver 2013 Hyundai Tucson, a detail police hope will help someone recognize the vehicle and provide information about his location.
The vehicle is believed to possibly carry South Carolina license plate 492DAK. Police have circulated his photograph and vehicle details as they continue searching for him. The information is particularly important because investigators believe he may still be armed.
The Mauldin Police Department has issued a clear warning about approaching Pabon-Lopez. Officers consider him armed and dangerous and have urged anyone who sees him not to make contact or attempt to stop him. Police want the public to report any sightings immediately.
The search follows the death of Guerra Gomez, whose body was discovered inside her residence. Her killing has become the focus of an ongoing investigation involving local authorities. Police are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.
As the investigation continues, authorities are asking anyone who may know where Pabon-Lopez is staying or who has information about his movements to come forward. Even information about a possible sighting of the silver Hyundai Tucson could assist investigators.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dodaro at 864-361-1113. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME. Police are urging anyone who spots the wanted man to keep their distance and contact law enforcement.
