Oxford was standing in the driveway of his own home when a vehicle struck him before crashing into the house. The November 4, 2026, collision claimed his life in circumstances that have left his loved ones facing a devastating loss.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash happened along Old Corinth Road in Coweta County. Investigators said a vehicle driven by 65-year-old Donna Arnold, also of Newnan, was traveling westbound on Earl North Road when it failed to stop at the intersection.

The vehicle continued through the intersection, crossed Old Corinth Road and went through a fence before striking Oxford. He was reportedly standing in the driveway of his residence when the vehicle hit him.

The impact did not stop the vehicle. After striking Oxford, it continued forward and crashed into the house. What began as a drive along a nearby road ended with a fatal collision just outside someone’s home.

Authorities identified the driver as Arnold, 65. According to the Georgia State Patrol, she got out of the vehicle after the crash and attempted to run away from the scene.

Her attempt to leave did not last long. Coweta County Sheriff’s Office deputies found her in a nearby field and took her into custody. The circumstances surrounding her actions after the collision remain part of the developing case.

As of the latest report, authorities had not clarified the exact charges Arnold would face. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash, and further details about the case had not been released.

For Oxford’s family and friends, the loss goes far beyond the details of a traffic investigation. He was 39 years old, and his life ended while he was standing outside his own home. Those who loved him are now left to deal with a loss they could never have expected that afternoon.

A driveway is ordinarily just a place to park a vehicle or step outside for a moment. For Oxford, it became the scene of a tragedy that took his life. His loved ones now face the difficult days ahead, holding on to the memories they shared with him.

Zachary Oxford was 39. His death has left a painful story behind, and his family deserves the time and space to grieve as authorities continue investigating what happened.
