An early morning drive ended in tragedy for 18-year-old Christopher Luna Vega, who was killed Wednesday after his pickup truck left Interstate 244 and slammed into a guardrail in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on November 4, leaving the young driver dead at the scene.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Vega was behind the wheel of a black Ford F-150 traveling westbound on Interstate 244 when the truck suddenly veered off the roadway. The crash occurred near South 33rd West Avenue on Tulsa’s west side.

Vega was just 18 years old. His death turned what appeared to be an ordinary early morning trip into a fatal accident along one of Tulsa’s major highways.
Investigators have not released details explaining why the Ford F-150 left the roadway. It remains unclear what happened in the moments before the truck veered off the interstate.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not announced any additional findings about the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further information about the events leading up to the collision has been made public.
